Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: information you voluntarily provide to us, and information collected automatically when you use TalentTell.

Information you provide

• Analysis metadata: The careers URL you submit, industry, company size, company name, and (if applicable) the public jobs index URL we ask you for when we detect Workday, Greenhouse, or Lever.
• Analysis scores: Archetype assignments, dimension scores, and positioning map coordinates
• Short excerpts: Brief quotes (1-2 sentences) from your career site and job ads that illustrate the analysis findings, plus a handful of signal phrases per content category.
• Contact details: First name, last name, work email, company, and job title - collected only once your analysis is complete, when you choose to unlock the full report. We collect nothing personal to run the analysis itself.

Information collected automatically

• Log data: Your browser type, operating system, and IP address when you access TalentTell. Your IP address is also used to enforce a per-IP rate limit (3 analyses per hour) to prevent abuse.
• Device data: Device type and general geographic location
• Cookies: Essential session cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies (see Cookies section below)

What we don't store

• The full text of your career site or job ads - we extract short excerpts and signal phrases from each scraped page, then the rest of the content is discarded
• Payment or financial information (TalentTell is currently free to use)

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate your employer brand analysis and results
• Build a curated public benchmark of companies who opt in to be added (subject to our review). Your submission stays private by default; you only appear on the public benchmark if you tick the curation opt-in box AND we approve it
• Email you a link to your full results and a PDF copy of your report, once you've unlocked them by sharing your details
• Prevent abuse by rate-limiting submissions (3 per hour per IP)
• Send you occasional content about employer branding from Reveal The Real (only if you opt in - you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Understand how TalentTell is used so we can improve the product

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your personal information on the following bases:

• Consent: When you share your details to unlock your full report, when you opt in to be added to the public benchmark, or when you opt in to receive future communications from Reveal The Real
• Legitimate interest: To run the analysis itself (the careers URL and analysis metadata you submit contain no personal information), to maintain and improve TalentTell, and to prevent abuse via rate limiting

Data storage and security

All data is stored on EU-region servers (Supabase, London). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

How long we keep your information

Analysis data (scores, archetypes, map positions) is retained indefinitely so you can return to your report anytime via the link we email you. If you opt in to the public benchmark and we approve your submission, that data also appears on the public benchmark map. Your email is retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe.

Disclosure to third parties

We may share your information with the following third-party services, solely to operate TalentTell:

• Supabase: Database hosting (EU region)
• Vercel: Website hosting and deployment
• Anthropic (Claude): AI-powered analysis of the career-site and job-ad pages we scrape from your URL
• Resend: Delivery of your report email (the link to your results and the PDF)
• Mailchimp: Blog content and follow-up emails - your details only reach Mailchimp if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Cookies

We use cookies in three categories:

• Essential cookies: Required to maintain your session during analysis. These cannot be disabled. Duration: session only.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how TalentTell is used. No personally identifiable information is collected. Duration: up to 2 years. These require your consent.
• Functional cookies: Remember your preferences and settings. Duration: up to 1 year. These require your consent.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. We comply with UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) and obtain consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

Children's privacy

TalentTell is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
