Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: information you voluntarily provide to us, and information collected automatically when you use TalentTell.

Information you provide

• Analysis metadata: Industry, company size, and selected personas (we do not collect your company name)
• Analysis scores: Archetype assignments, dimension scores, and positioning map coordinates
• Short excerpts: Brief quotes (1-2 sentences) from your submitted text that illustrate the analysis findings
• Contact details: First name, last name, email address, company name, and job title - only if you choose to unlock your full results

Information collected automatically

• Log data: Your browser type, operating system, and IP address when you access TalentTell
• Device data: Device type and general geographic location
• Cookies: Essential session cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies (see Cookies section below)

What we don't store

• Your full submitted communications text - this is processed in memory and discarded
• Any direct link between your email address and your analysis results
• Payment or financial information (TalentTell is currently free to use)

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate your employer brand analysis and results
• Build an anonymised benchmark dataset so users can compare their position against others in their industry and size band
• Send you your full analysis results (if you provide your email)
• Send you occasional content about employer branding from Reveal The Real (only if you opt in - you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Understand how TalentTell is used so we can improve the product

Legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your personal information on the following bases:

• Consent: When you submit your communications for analysis, provide your email to unlock results, or opt in to marketing communications
• Legitimate interest: To maintain and improve TalentTell, prevent abuse, and build anonymised benchmark data that benefits all users

Data storage and security

All data is stored on EU-region servers (Supabase, London). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

How long we keep your information

Analysis data (scores, archetypes, map positions) is retained indefinitely as part of the anonymised benchmark dataset. Contact details provided during email unlock are retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe.

Disclosure to third parties

We may share your information with the following third-party services, solely to operate TalentTell:

• Supabase: Database hosting (EU region)
• Vercel: Website hosting and deployment
• Anthropic (Claude): AI-powered analysis of your submitted communications
• Firecrawl: URL scraping when you submit a careers page link
• Mailchimp: Email delivery (only if you opt in to communications)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

Cookies

We use cookies in three categories:

• Essential cookies: Required to maintain your session during analysis. These cannot be disabled. Duration: session only.
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how TalentTell is used. No personally identifiable information is collected. Duration: up to 2 years. These require your consent.
• Functional cookies: Remember your preferences and settings. Duration: up to 1 year. These require your consent.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. We comply with UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) and obtain consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

Children's privacy

TalentTell is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
